Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office is Hiring a Deputy Sheriff Near Tarboro, NC

Requirements:

- North Carolina Driver's License

- High school diploma or GED

- BLET or North Carolina Law Enforcement certification

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Deputy Sheriff. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a vital role in maintaining law and order within the community.

Duties:
- Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain public safety and order
- Conduct criminal investigations and gather evidence
- Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure the safety of residents
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Serve legal documents such as warrants and subpoenas
- Conduct traffic stops and issue citations when necessary
- Assist in crowd control during public events or emergencies

Skills:
- Proficiency in law enforcement procedures and criminal investigation techniques
- Strong leadership skills to effectively lead teams and make critical decisions
- Ability to handle animals with care when dealing with animal-related incidents
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and conflict management techniques
- Excellent report writing skills for documenting incidents and investigations
